An ambitious development of 756 homes surrounding Manchester’s largest green space – Angel Meadow – called for a ‘rebrand’ of an area that might have been overlooked by buyers due to it’s fringe location and distance from Manchester’s buzzing cultural hub. Attracting buyers to the new Northern Quarter development required a new way of thinking and an openness to imagining the possibilities of a space that buyers might not have previously thought twice about.
We needed Angel Meadow’s future buyers to think differently, so we asked them to do just that.
Our brand strategy and visual identity was built around the central message ‘think sideways’, encouraging buyers and international investors to imagine a new cultural centre in the Angel Meadow development – a space we branded ‘MeadowSide’.
Rather than sitting on the outskirts of the old centre, on the fringes of Manchester, our new space was given its own identity and even it’s own local magazine ‘MeadowLife’ to showcase a new way of life, full of cultural possibilities, where residents can enjoy amenities you just don’t find in your standard Manchester city neighborhood – like an onsite concierge, a gym, residents’ lounge and plenty of green spaces that are quite literally a breath of fresh air from crowded city living.
We played out the concept of ‘think sideways’ across outdoor, print, exhibition and digital platforms, letting the space take on a life, and identity of its own and connecting crowded Mancunians to a new, desirable suburban community.
